Use AI to Expose 5 Blind Spots | Transform Your Life

AI Won't Change Your Life Until You Ask It These 5 Questions
Most use AI for basic tasks. Use it as a thinking partner to expose the 5 blind spots keeping you stuck: deception, relationships, identity, decisions, and trauma. Run the 5-minute investigator prompt today.
Tactical Tuesday

WAKE UP! Awareness Brings Answers!
Most mornings, you wake up carrying the same patterns, the same blind spots, the same stories that keep you stuck in survival mode.
You know something needs to change, but you can't quite see what's holding you back.
What if the tool you're already using—AI—could become the mirror that finally shows you the truth?
I recently sat with a talk from performance trainer Sandeep Swadia whose entire message is built around one idea: AI is not just a productivity hack; it is a strategic thinking partner that can expose the blind spots keeping you in survival mode.
It's the kind of gut-check I think we all need on repeat!
So today, I'm handing the mic to that message, breaking it down piece by piece, so you can pull out exactly what you need without watching the whole thing. Quick read now. Quick reference later. Let's get into it.
🎯 Tactical Tuesday UPGRADE: The Blind Spot Interrogation 💪
Most people spend Tactical Tuesday reacting to whatever fire is burning brightest. Today, we're prepping your operating system.
Stop. Take a hard look in the mirror. What is the one repeating pattern or blind spot you've been carrying around like a heavy coat you forgot you were wearing?
You don't need to "fix" it today. You just need to see it for what it is: a learned software program, not your physical hardware.
👉🏼 Your Move: Grab your notebook. Write down the pattern. Ask yourself: "What is the objective evidence that this story I'm telling myself is actually true?"
That's not just a journal prompt. That's a timeline shift!
Awareness, as always, brings answers. Here's the breakdown.
"Pain is what happened. Suffering is the story we keep telling ourselves after."
Before you keep reading, hit play. Nothing captures this framework as clearly as watching Sandeep break it down directly.
Watch the video above to see the exact prompts in action. Then, keep reading below for the complete breakdown of how to apply each of the 5 blind spots to your life today!
🌞 The Core Concept: The 5 Blind Spots
Just like an 18-wheeler on the highway, the heavier the freight you carry in life (career, family, business), the harder it is to turn, and the more dangerous your blind spots become.
AI can act as your objective partner to navigate them, provided you treat its output as a hypothesis, not a diagnosis.
🟠 Deception: Why You Keep Repeating What Hurts You
The Problem: Under pressure, your memory distorts to protect you with self-deceptive stories. You rarely recognize your own self-deception because once your mind finds a story that protects you, you stick to it and stop asking harder questions.
The Research: A study published in Frontiers in Psychology found that concrete, negative feedback from someone who knows you well can significantly reduce self-deception. Not social media trolls—real feedback from people who have worked with you and want the best for you.
The AI Solution: AI acts as an objective "investigator" of your behavioral black box. Just like plane crash investigators don't start with the pilot's memory (which is distorted), they start with the objective data in the black box. Your life is the black box. AI can examine the evidence from a third-party perspective and make patterns obvious that you can't see.
Real-World Action: Keep a written list of every hard piece of feedback you've received over the years. Review it periodically as a "mirror" without self-flagellation. This creates concrete data that counters your mind's protective distortions.

🟢 Relationship: The Stories We Tell About Others
The Problem: Every conversation has 4 distinct parts: (1) what you meant to say, (2) what actually came out of your mouth, (3) what the other person heard, and (4) what they interpreted it to mean. We enter conversations already carrying a story ("She ignored me," "My employees are lazy," "My partner doesn't love me") and unconsciously recruit every new detail to reinforce that old narrative. The distance between a healthy conversation and a "prosecution" becomes dangerously tiny.
The Research: Psychologist Eli Finkel at Northwestern University studied 120 married couples whose relationships were slowly getting worse. Some couples were asked to write about their worst fights from the perspective of a "neutral outsider who wanted the best for both of them" for just 20 minutes. The decline for those couples stopped. The rest who didn't do the writing exercise kept sliding further.
The AI Solution: AI acts as a "counterparty" to help you build the strongest possible version of the other person's case. Instead of using AI to validate your side, you force yourself to step out of your own narrative and see the conflict through a neutral, fair lens.
Real-World Action: Replace accusation with observation. Instead of saying "You don't care about me," try: "When I don't hear back from you for 2 days, I start wondering if this is important to you. Is that fair? What do you think?" Formula: Name the behavior + Name the impact + Ask a curious question.
🔵 Identity: The End of History Illusion
The Problem: Researchers studied more than 19,000 people between ages 18 and 68 and found that people can look backward and see how much they've changed, but when they look forward, they assume they won't change much.
We know how much we changed in the last 5 years, but we feel certain we'll be the same for the next 5 years—as if we've arrived at some final version of who we are. That's never the case. Sports researchers found that athletes who have their sense of self fused too tightly with their sport often have the hardest time when they retire.
The AI Solution: AI acts as a "mapmaker" to bridge the gap between your current role and your next chapter. It can map out which strengths will carry over, which will become liabilities, what you need to leave behind, and what you've never built but now need.
Real-World Action: Run the smallest real test before making big commitments. Don't quit your day job until your new adventure shows promising signs of working. The confusion about identity feels existential, but it's just navigational—your roles are clothes you wear, not your skin.
🟣 Forks: The Decisions You Keep Staring At
The Problem: Standing at a crossroads where both roads have a cost, both have a risk, and you don't get to live both simultaneously. Do you quit or stay? Propose or wait? Go left or right? Forks are hard because you can't forecast the risks clearly.
The Research: Decision researcher Gary Klein created a tool called "premortem." Before you make a decision, imagine the absolute worst scenario 2 years out. Describe it in detail. Write it down. Then ask: "What went wrong? What did I ignore? What was I too excited to miss? What was I too afraid to admit?"
The AI Solution: AI acts as a "simulator" to run a premortem on each option independently. It can pressure-test your assumptions, surface risks you haven't thought about, and help you understand the trade-offs by showing you how each road fails differently.
Real-World Action: Use Jeff Bezos's framework: Two-way doors (reversible decisions) = move fast. One-way doors (irreversible decisions) = slow down. Most decisions are two-way doors.

🟠 Trials: What to Do With Pain After Failure
The Problem: Your trials and traumas don't ask for permission—they arrive unannounced. But the blind spot isn't the event itself; it's the story that stays behind: "Why do I keep screwing up?" "I shouldn't trust people." "I should have never tried that."
The Research: A researcher at UT Austin found that people who wrote about a painful experience for just 15 minutes, four days running, were significantly healthier months later. When we fall, writing about it helps a lot.
The AI Solution: AI acts as a "debrief partner" to help you separate the objective facts of what happened from the meaning you keep attributing that isn't about the facts. It helps you identify what was yours to control versus what wasn't, and what to carry forward versus what to leave behind.
Real-World Action: For deep trauma, pain, or a weight you can't lift alone, AI is not the way to go. Talk to a close friend or a licensed professional. Loss and grief change you forever—you don't get to go back to who you were before. But you don't have to let your wound become your way of life. As the Buddhist teaching says: "Pain is what happened. Suffering is the story we keep telling ourselves after."
Critical AI Caveats (Apply to All 5 Blind Spots):
AI doesn't have divine insights
It can distort facts and overstate patterns
It sounds more certain than it should
Treat AI output as a hypothesis, NOT a diagnosis
AI is not a trained psychologist or therapist
Your judgment must stay in charge
🚀 Solution: 5-Minute Blind Spot Interrogation — Run One Full Round
Here's how to apply that in the next five minutes, today:
Minute 1 - Breathe and Identify: Take three deep breaths. Drop your jaw. Name the one repeating pattern or blind spot you are currently ignoring.
Minute 2 - Formulate the Pattern: Write it down in plain language. "I keep avoiding uncomfortable conversations with my team," or "I am fused with my current job title and afraid to pivot."
Minute 3 - Deploy the Investigator Prompt: Open your AI tool and paste this: "Act as an investigator for my behavior. This is the pattern I keep repeating: [Insert pattern]. I want to understand: 1) Where my blind spots may be, 2) Why I keep avoiding them, 3) How I catch them before they're triggered. Interview me one question at a time. Unpack my answer and ask the next better question. Use only my answer as evidence. When ready, give me your best hypothesis, the evidence behind it, and the evidence still missing. Be respectful, candid, and direct. Do not motivate, flatter, or suck up to me."
Minute 4 - Answer with Brutal Honesty: Answer the AI's first question with raw, unfiltered truth. No filtering. No self-protection.
Minute 5 - Extract One Real-World Action: Take the AI's hypothesis and commit to one tangible action today, such as asking a trusted colleague for direct feedback or scheduling a 15-minute writing session about a past setback.
This isn't about overthinking your entire life. It's about precision — giving your mind a known off-ramp before you ask it to solve anything.

❓ FAQ
Q: Can I trust the AI's analysis of my behavior?
A: Treat the AI's output as a hypothesis, not a diagnosis. AI does not have divine insight and can overstate patterns or sound more certain than it should. Use it to surface blind spots, but verify its hypotheses with real-world data and trusted human feedback.
Q: What if my blind spot is related to deep trauma or grief?
A: AI is a debrief partner, not a therapist. For deep trauma, pain, or a weight you can't lift alone, a language model is not the way to go. Talk to a close friend or a licensed professional.
Q: Do I have to tackle all 5 blind spots at once?
A: No. Pick the one that is causing the most friction in your life right now. Run the specific prompt for that blind spot, take one small action, and evaluate the results before moving to the next.
🌞 REAP Practical Application: The Blind Spot Reframe
This is how we think. This is how we move. This is how we show up!
R — Recognize & Run Out: Notice the old pattern: "I keep avoiding the hard conversations." Pause. Ask: has avoiding this actually worked yet?
E — Exchange + Envision + Emotion: Replace it with: "I am not my story. I can use an objective partner to pressure-test my assumptions and map my next move." Feel that land — not avoidance, but empowered clarity.
A — Activate with Action: Run one full 5-Minute Blind Spot Interrogation on whatever you're carrying right now. Answer the AI's questions with brutal honesty.
P — Program & Prosper: Use this inside your theta window — the first 5–10 minutes after waking, or the last 5–10 before sleep. Stack the reps. Presence becomes identity. Identity becomes reality.
"Neurons that fire together, wire together." — Donald Hebb

🚨 Critical Window: Your 5-Minute Theta Mornings
The first 5–10 minutes after you wake up is neurological gold. Your brain is still in a more receptive theta state — the exact window to feed your mind the input you actually want wired in, instead of whatever the group chat throws at you first.
That's why I built the 5-Minute Theta Mornings Routine: no decisions, no overthinking, just a simple practice to program your mind for strength, presence, and purpose. Running this AI interrogation first thing in the morning ensures you are directing the investigation, not reacting to the day's chaos.
🌟 Synchronicity Check: If a moment of friction or a repeating argument shows up right after you read this, that's not random. Something in you already knows what you'd investigate first. Honor that. Name it today.

🏖️ The Bigger Vision
Perfect days are engineered. One decision. One behavior. One moment of awareness at a time.
You don't need better conditions to break through your limitations. You need five minutes, one honest pattern identified, and the willingness to ask a better question.
That's not a productivity hack. That's a Tactical Tuesday decision, repeated until it becomes who you are.
This is the mission: Awareness → REAP → Repetition → Identity → Reality.
