As I'm researching today's perfect Tactical Tuesday post, I kept running into phrases and tactics that I've been using for a couple of decades now. I forgot where they came from. They are just part of me.
Today, I remembered!!
Many of the tactics that I use on a daily basis came from today's inspiration.
Jim Rohn (1930–2009) was a world-renowned motivational speaker, author, and personal development expert. He inspired millions with his lessons on discipline, mindset, and taking consistent action to achieve success.
Known as the 'mentor to the mentors,' Rohn directly influenced some of today's most popular speakers such as Tony Robbins and Brian Tracy.
And here's what Jim Rohn understood that most people miss:
Success isn't something you pursue. Success is something you attract by becoming the person who deserves it.
This single idea flips the entire script on ambition. It moves the goal from external achievement to internal development.
It’s not about chasing money, recognition, or opportunities; it’s about becoming the type of person for whom those things are a natural byproduct.
But how do we actually do that? How do we shift from being a pursuer to a magnet?
The answer lies in a daily, deliberate practice—a mindset reset that starts before the world gets its vote.
The Farmer and the Fortune
Let's look at a story Jim Rohn often told to illustrate this point.
Imagine two men who both want a fortune.
The first man says, "I want the gold! Give me the gold!" He spends his days chasing after get-rich-quick schemes, scanning the horizon for a buried treasure, and growing more frustrated with each empty hole he digs.
The second man, who wants the same fortune, takes a different approach. He looks at the land and says, "I want to become a farmer." He studies the soil, learns which crops thrive in the climate, and understands the seasons. He works the land, planting seeds, pulling weeds, and nurturing the growth. He doesn't chase the harvest; he becomes the kind of person who knows how to cultivate it.
When harvest time comes, who has the fortune?
The farmer doesn't just have the crop; he has the knowledge, the skill, and the character that will produce another harvest next season, and the season after that.
He didn't pursue success; he became someone who could attract it, again and again.

The Science of Becoming a Magnet
This isn't just philosophy; it's physics. We are beings of energy, frequency, and vibration. As Nikola Tesla wisely noted, if you want to find the secrets of the universe, you must think in these terms.
When you focus on lack—chasing money, feeling unworthy of success—you emit a frequency of lack. What does the universe reflect back to you? More lack. More evidence that you aren't good enough.
But when you focus on becoming—on cultivating discipline, knowledge, and self-worth—you emit a frequency of value!
You become a signal in the noise!
The person who has solved their internal problems becomes a resource that others are naturally drawn to.
Opportunities aren't things you chase; they are things that are attracted to the energy you project.
This is where the REAP Mindset Reset comes in. It’s the daily protocol for tuning your frequency. It’s the system for becoming the farmer, not the gold-chaser.
REAP Mindset Reset: The Attraction Protocol
This is the framework I use with my one-on-one clients. Consider this your preview—the "trailer" before the full feature. It’s how we apply Jim Rohn’s wisdom on a daily basis.
R — Recognize & Run out
The first step to becoming a success magnet is to see where you're currently repelling it.
Notice the thoughts that show up when you think about your goals.
Do you hear, "I'm not smart enough," "It's too late for me," or "People like me don't get those opportunities"?

Just notice. Don't judge.
First, you have to see how you're feeling. This awareness is your superpower.
E — Exchange & Envision
Once you see the old thought, you get to choose a new one. Not by force. By replacement.
Jim Rohn said: "If you don't like how things are, change it! You're not a tree."
You cannot fight an old belief; you can only overshadow it with a new one.
What would you rather believe? What does the person who attracts success believe about themselves?
- "I am a fast learner."
- "I create value for others."
- "Opportunities flow to me naturally."
You don't have to fully believe it yet. Just practice saying it. Envision yourself as that person. See it. Feel it. This is the reprogramming Dr. Bruce Lipton speaks of—changing the perception of our environment to change our biology and our outcomes.
A — Activate With Action
One small action. That's it. Not the whole staircase. Just one step.
The person you want to be would do one thing differently today. Would they read for 20 minutes? Would they make that one difficult phone call? Would they wake up 30 minutes earlier?
Do that. This is where the vision meets the pavement. This is where the energy becomes physical.
P — Program & Prosper
Do this tomorrow. And the next day. And the next. Day after day. Rep after rep.
Hebb's Law, the cornerstone of neuroplasticity, states: "Neurons that fire together, wire together."
You're not building a new life. You're building a new pattern. The life follows.
Fall in love with the REPs—Recognize, Exchange, Act. Do that enough, and the Programming takes care of itself. Prosper follows.

But Here's What Most People Miss
The REPs only work if you actually do them.
And let's be honest—by midday, the world has already voted. The notifications have flooded in. The emergencies have piled up. Your good intentions get buried under everyone else's agenda.
So when do you get your first reps in?

The Critical Window: Your First 5 Minutes
Here's something most people don't know—and it might be the most important thing you read today.
It all starts in the first 5 minutes.
The moment you open your eyes, your brain is producing theta waves—that hypnagogic state between sleep and waking where your subconscious is wide open.
This is the state Dr. Joe Dispenza teaches about, where you can reprogram your autonomic nervous system. Your mind is literally twice as suggestible as it will be just 15 minutes from now.
This is where REPs become automatic. This is where programming happens without friction.

No decisions. No willpower required. Just open, read, follow the instructions, and let the reprogramming sink in before the world gets its claws in you.

If you're not programming your mind in those first five minutes, something else is. The news. The notifications. The noise. The question isn't whether you'll be programmed. The question is who gets to do it—you or the world.
Your 5-Minute Micro-Action Plan
Starting tomorrow morning:
- Minute 1: Before you touch your phone, take three deep breaths. Let the theta state work for you.
- Minute 2: Ask yourself: "Who do I need to become today to attract the success I want?"
- Minute 3: Visualize yourself as that person. See it. Feel it. (This is the E in REAP).
- Minute 4: Choose ONE action that person would take today. (This is the A in REAP).
- Minute 5: Commit. Out loud if possible. "I am becoming the person who attracts success."
That's it. Five minutes. One REP completed. Done before the world gets its vote.

Q: This feels a bit "woo-woo." Is there real science behind "attracting" success?
A: Absolutely. We're not talking about magic; we're talking about psychology and neurobiology. When you work on yourself, you build confidence (which others sense), competence (which creates real value), and clarity (which helps you spot opportunities you would have missed). Dr. Lipton's work on the programming of the subconscious mind shows that your beliefs directly influence your actions and perception.
Change the belief, change the action, change the result.
That's not woo-woo, that's science.
Q: I try to think positive, but the old negative thoughts keep coming back. What am I doing wrong?

It’s the one degree that changes the ship's course. Over time, that one degree means you end up in a completely different harbor. The small action is the proof of your commitment. It’s the reps that build the muscle.

This is the ongoing journey. Becoming a success magnet is a lifelong process. These principles are not one-time tasks — they are daily practices.
Let the applause of the past go. Chase the challenge ahead. Live your truth. Not the version of you they expect. Master your mind, or you will be mastered by it.
Whether you think a thing is possible or impossible, either way, you'll be right.
And you'll see the rightness of your thoughts manifesting everywhere you go. If you believe it will work out, you'll see opportunities. If you believe it won't, you will see obstacles.
You have greatness within you. Nurture it. Act on it. Focus on becoming the best version of yourself.
The opportunities and the right people will flow to you naturally.
